Lightweight and Maneuverable
Extremely versatile. Precision engineering, advanced materials and an innovative, lightweight battery create a vacuum body weighing just 1.4kg (3.1lbs). It’s effortless to lift into high corners, move from room, out into cars, and more.

Cordless Vacuum
What is a cordless vacuum and how is it used?
Cordless vacuum cleaners come in many models and forms. Their advantage lies in their ability to free you from the power socket, making cleaning more comfortable and quicker than traditional vacuum cleaners. Cordless vacuums are usually light and manoeuvrable, making them flexible enough to complete almost any cleaning job around your home with ease. When cordless vacuums were first introduced to the market, they were only considered as an additional tool to compliment your primary appliance. Typically, they are great at quick tidy-ups, vacuuming the car as well as stairs. Now there is no need to compromise for second best. Quality cordless vacuums pack enough power to replace the traditional corded vacuum completely.
There are three main types of cordless vacuum cleaners: stick, cylinder and upright. Stick vacuums are the most common form, made up of a small, yet powerful, handheld vacuum with a tube and cleaning brush attached, to clean your floors. Cylinder vacuums mimic traditional vacuums with a barrel and flexible cleaning tube that you move around with you as you clean. Upright vacuums are beefier than a stick cordless vacuum. However, they are often more powerful and come with a larger dust canister.

Reasons to buy a cordless vacuum for your home
Cordless vacuum cleaners come with many advantages over a traditional corded vacuum. Their main benefit is that they are significantly lighter and more mobile. Many cordless vacuums can weigh less than a few kilograms, making them incredibly easy to lift overhead and move around. Additionally, they are not restricted by the length of their cord or their distance to the nearest powerpoint. This also means that they can be used no matter where you are. For example, cordless vacuums are often used to clean cars, high furniture and other hard to reach places, given their flexibility and lack of limitations.
Cordless vacuum cleaners are also much smaller and easier to store than a traditional vacuum cleaner. With modern batteries, cordless vacuums can power a hefty motor that delivers strong suction to remove dirt, dust and debris from your floors. These vacuums also use a HEPA filter to trap allergens and pollutants, ensuring your air is safe and clean for you and your family to breathe.

Cordless vacuum features to look for
Given the broad range of cord vacuums on offer, there are a lot of factors to consider when making a choice. Here are some of the key features to assess:
- Battery life. One of the most important factors to consider when making a cordless vacuum purchase is the efficiency of the battery. Lithium-ion batteries are generally the best option for quick charging and extended running times. Some cordless vacuums only last ten minutes on a full charge, whereas others can last up to an hour.
- Weight. Cordless vacuum cleaners should be light and easy to carry around. If the vacuum weighs more than three kilograms, it will be difficult for most users to use for a full clean. Corded vacuums usually weigh a lot more, so make sure you’re getting the full advantage of their cordless counterpart.
- Dust capacity. There are many advantages to being lightweight and smaller than traditional vacuums. However, dust capacity is not one of them. Most cordless vacuums are bagless and lack storage space. This means you will need to empty them more often. Make sure your cordless vacuum has sufficient dust canister capacity for your home.
- Attachments. A fantastic cordless vacuum should have multiple brush heads, tools and accessories to choose from, such as a soft brush for hard floors and a crevice tool for hard to reach places. Take advantage of their mobility!
